Vicki Brick becomes CEO of family gym business amid Planet Fitness expansion
Vicki Brick is taking over her family’s 30-year-old Baltimore gym business.
Vicki, the daughter of C. Victor Brick and Lynne Brick, succeeds Victor as CEO of Brick Bodies Fitness Services Inc. She’ll focus on the family gyms as her parents turn their attention toward an ambitious expansion of Planet Fitness gyms. They founded the business in 1985.
Vicki had been vice president of brand management for Brick Bodies and general manager of the company’s Timonium gym. Brick Bodies has gyms in Timonium, Perry Hall, downtown, Lutherville, Reisterstown and downtown Baltimore, as well as two women-only gyms under the Lynne Brick‘s brand in Owings Mills and at Belvedere Square.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to build on my parent’s legacy and bring a new perspective to our company. I look forward to helping Brick Bodies stay on the cutting edge and evolve quickly as we continue to help change lives in the Baltimore community,” Vicki Brick said in a statement.
Victor will become board chairman for Brick Bodies and Lynne will remain president. The couple also are part-owners of PF Growth Partners LLC, a Timonium-based company that owns 30 Planet Fitness gyms. They’re planning to open 15 new Planet Fitness locations by the end of the year and continue to rapidly expand after that.
