Vasa Fitness will open its first club in Nebraska in 2023 as it plans to expand to 60 locations.
Vasa Fitness, Englewood, Colorado, plans to grow to 60 clubs in 2023 with the addition of nine clubs by the end of the year, including its first in Nebraska, Vasa Fitness announced on Feb. 9.
By the end of 2023, the high-volume, low-price brand will have clubs in eight states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin and Nebraska where its first club will open in Omaha in the second half of the year.
“VASA had an exceptional 2022 in terms of membership growth but also the brand recognition that’s synonymous with thriving fitness communities for members and team members alike,” said Vasa Fitness CEO Rich Nelsen said. “We are excited to strengthen our presence in territories where we currently operate and introduce our premium fitness brand to Nebraskans for the first time. Expect great things from VASA in 2023.”
The new locations will house all of the functional areas that the brand offers with its “mall of fitness” approach to club design, the company said. Each 60,000-square-foot VASA location includes group fitness classes, Studio Red (HIIT), a training cage, functional training areas, a free weights area, performance lifting, a cardio deck, three-lane lap pool, hydro-massage lounge, retail area, basketball court, spa, steam, sauna and KidCare services.
Vasa will continue to re-invest in existing clubs by adding offerings such as Studio Red HIIT and Studio Flow Infrared Yoga at its existing locations. It will also add Strong performance lifting offerings to existing locations.
With the growth, Vasa noted it is hiring and touted that 81 percent of its team members said VASA is a great place to work, scoring 24 points higher than the average U.S. company.
