29 Year Old Dead….LA Fitness

A 29-year-old male is dead after drowning in a pool at an LA Fitness club in Brampton on Tuesday night, said Peel Regional Police.

Police and paramedics arrived at the health club, near Bovaird Dr. E. and Airport Rd., at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

“There’s nothing to indicate that it’s suspicious at this time,” said Peel police spokesperson Rachel Gibbs on Wednesday morning.

The coroner attended the scene on Tuesday night, although it’s unclear if or when an autopsy will be performed.

Both LA Fitness and the Brampton-area club have not responded to multiple requests for comment.
