Gold’s Gym makes the change to Rise Fitness

BLACKFOOT— For almost 10 years now, the gym off of Bridge St. in Blackfoot, has been known as Gold’s Gym, but on the eve of their anniversary, the athletic club is making a switch from franchise member to local business. CLUB HEALTH NEWS :
Briannia Ball, manager of (soon to be known as) Rise Fitness, reported that everything will remain the same, same owners, classes offered and membership HEALTH CLUB NEWSfees. The only difference will be the name, logo and the merchandise and products offered there will now be decided by Rise management and not dictated by Golds.
Ball said that the change took them a little by surprise, as they were planning on renewing HEALTH CLUB NEWSwith the Gold’s franchise when their contract expired in Sept. 2017, but Gold’s came back to them, not only still wanting their monthly franchise fee, but an upfront franchise fee to continue using the Golds name. Ball says they were surprised by the rise in the franchise fees and decided that they should be putting that money back into the club and not all into a name.HEALTH CLUB NEWS :
Rise Fitness will no longer be associated with a franchise, it will be a locally owned and operated athletic club offering all that it previously has, including but not limited to gym equipment, massage therapy, CrossFit and physical therapy.HEALTH CLUB NEWS :
