Worldwide gym chain opens first Greater Cincinnati location.

Crunch Fitness is opening its first Greater Cincinnati location in Florence.

The gym is pre-selling memberships and will open in early January in the former Haverty’s Furniture space at 77 Spiral Drive.

The gym’s 24,000 total square feet will include state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment, full-service locker rooms, tanning and HydroMassage along with a 2,700-square-foot fitness studio and 1,800-square-foot personal training area.

The gym is the first opened by franchisee Fitness Gurus LLC, which plans to expand Crunch to other parts of Greater Cincinnati in the next few years.

Crunch is headquartered in New York City and co-owned by New Evolution Ventures and private-equity firm Angelo Gordon. It serves more than 400,000 members in more than 100 gyms worldwide.
