WellBiz Brands Sells FIT36 Franchise to Georgia-Based Investment Firm

WellBiz Brands Inc., Engelwood, Colorado, has sold its FIT36 franchise to Georgia-based Because We Investments LLC for an undisclosed sum, the company announced Jan. 3.

FIT36, first launched in 2014, is a HIIT-centric group-training concept with 11 studios in Colorado, California, Illinois, New Jersey and Washington. Its classes are based around a 36-minute-long signature HIIT regimen and was recently voted as the Denver area’s best introductory workout by Westword magazine. Classes incorporate heart-rate-monitoring technology across various strength- and cardio-based exercises.

“We are thrilled to be the new franchisor for FIT36,” Steve Kopshaw, Because We Investments partner and FIT36 CEO, said in a media release. “We have operated fitness and wellness franchise locations since 2007 including a FIT36 studio in New Jersey. We’re confident the high-intensity interval training concept is here to stay and the FIT36 brand is well-positioned for growth in not only our existing markets but new markets as well.”

FIT36 was founded in Denver by former U.S. Navy medic Brad Cooley and former firefighter Ned Matheson.

WellBiz Brands remains the owner of three wellness and fitness brands: Elements Massage, Fitness Together and Amazing Lash Studio, the latter of which it acquired in September 2018. WellBiz Brands’ current portfolio includes more than 600 locations.

In August 2018, Elements Massage (No. 4,005) and Wellbiz Brands (No. 4,546) both appeared on the annual Inc. 5000 list, which ranks America’s fastest-growing companies.
