REPORTS that the Virgin Active Health Club in Corfe Mullen have been saved are sadly, at best, very premature.

And despite a recent protest by members,  the leisure centre in Wareham Road will close at 2pm on 21st February.

Corfe Mullen district and parish councillor Anne Holland said: “Hopefully another company will take it on and run it as a leisure centre.

“Although it is hoped that the club could be registered as a Community Asset, this would only delay its sale for an alternative use for six months.”
