Virgin Active Health Club Location Soon To Close Doors
REPORTS that the Virgin Active Health Club in Corfe Mullen have been saved are sadly, at best, very premature.
And despite a recent protest by members, the leisure centre in Wareham Road will close at 2pm on 21st February.
Corfe Mullen district and parish councillor Anne Holland said: “Hopefully another company will take it on and run it as a leisure centre.
“Although it is hoped that the club could be registered as a Community Asset, this would only delay its sale for an alternative use for six months.”

She added alternative uses were limited as the land is within the green belt and within 400 metres of heathland.
Neil Farmer, strategic director at East Dorset District Council, said: “Officers have advised Corfe Mullen Parish Council on how to make an application to have the facilities considered for listing as an asset of community value and we await that application.”
