The company will open its eighth location next month on Fleming Island at 1514 County Road 220.

Urban Partners Construction LLC, a general contractor out of Jacksonville, is handling the development.

A Planet Fitness pre-sale office will open Monday in the same plaza as the center to sell membership discounts.

Jim Page, owner of the Orange Park and Oak Hill Village fitness centers, also has a development agreement to add two more stores over the next 12 to 18 months.

The chain of fitness centers also has gyms in Baymeadows, Oak Hill Village, Cobblestone Crossing, Orange Park, Jacksonville Beach and St. Augustine.
