NASCAR K&N series driver dislocates rib in gym mishap. NASCAR K&N series driver Dylan Lupton will be forced to drive through some pain Friday night after a gym mishap.

Lupton was trying to put a pair of dumbbells back on a rack when he felt a pop that was later diagnosed as a dislocated rib. Lupton went to about a half-dozen chiropractors in Newton, home of Iowa Speedway, but they were all booked for the day.

Lupton finally found a chiropractor who had the time to fix him up, and NASCAR cleared him to race Friday morning.

“It’s not too bad, except for those bumps in (turns) 1 and 2. It’s a little bit painful,” Lupton said following practice runs on Iowa’s short oval.

The 19-year-old Lupton entered Friday night’s race ranked second in the K&N Pro Series West series.
