Muscat Grand Mall has announced that its Tilal Complex development in Muscat will be home to the biggest health club ever developed in Oman and will be named Sport Mart Oman. The facility will be 2,000 square metres in size and features two outdoor swimming pools for men and women in addition to latest and most modern gym equipment that will cater for men and women in separate facilities.
Sport Mart management will bring over 20 years of experience in running the health club that is scheduled to open as part of the first phase of the project. One of the most exciting aspects of the project will be the large outdoor swimming pools allowing users to exercise and relax in the open air and both will be used actively for aquaerobics and other exercise activities in addition to swimming.

The facilities will also include steam baths and jacuzzis and modern well-equipped changing rooms providing excellent facilities for residents and members of the health club. Set to become one of Oman’s biggest mixed use developments, the project covers 250,000 square metres and residents, shoppers and office staff will benefit from underground parking facilities as well.

The Tilal Complex is set to be delivered in three phases with Sport Mart being part of the first phase that will also include the opening of Muscat Grand Mall, Tilal Residences and Offices and the serviced apartments. Commenting on the health club announcement Hassan Jaboub, general manager- properties of Tilal development Co SAOC, said: “We are delighted that the size, scale and ambition of our health club development match that of the rest of this outstanding project. We are very proud that Sport Mart will become the largest health club facility of its kind in the Sultanate.

“We have taken into consideration the needs of our community and provided separate facilities for men and women including open air swimming pools so that club members and residents can keep fit and exercise in comfort indoors and out all year round.” Tilal complex is designed by a team of multinational architects spanning two continents that will reflect the project’s vision to achieve a blend between traditional Omani and contemporary architectures within an eminently functional state-of-the-art building. The club will cater for men and women in separate facilities.
