LA Fitness to take over all 24 Hour Fitness clubs in Arizona.

Arizona members of 24 Hour Fitness will soon belong to LA Fitness instead.
The companies announced Monday that LA Fitness plans to acquire the assets of the eleven 24 Hour Fitness clubs in Arizona. 24 Hour Fitness intends to obtain the assets of two LA Fitness clubs in Oklahoma and one in Nebraska as well.
The deal is scheduled to be complete on Friday, which means members can use either gym starting on that day.
The exchange also means that 24 Hour Fitness will no longer have clubs in Arizona. LA Fitness already had 37 clubs in Arizona, including eight in the Valley, according to the LA Fitness website.
No financial details have been released.
According to Frank Napolitano, president of 24 Hour Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness has “no intention of closing any clubs as part of this transaction.”
Napolitano would not comment on whether 24 Hour Fitness would keep the current staff, or require them to reapply for their jobs.
