International News: LA fitness (United Kingdom) offers no contract gym membership as part of company restructuring overseas

LA Fitness is offering no-contract membership at its two gyms in Lincoln until September as the chain seeks new buyers for 33 of its 80 clubs nationally.The company is going through a restructuring process that aims to cut its debt £250m.

In Lincoln, LA Fitness has gyms in Weaver Road, off Whisby Road, and in Great Northern Terrace, which are among those being sold.Spokesman Kerry Milliken said: “We have a six-month period in which to find buyers and we have had some very positive responses so far.

“It is business as usual at the moment and we are offering people the chance to join the gym on a no-contract basis until September.”
