Gold’s Gym returns to El Paso

Tension Builds Between Gold’s Gym International and Gold’s Franchisees

Gold’s Gym returns to El Paso.Gold’s Gym has returned to El Paso with an East Side location, which opened last month.

The 27,000 square-foot gym, in a shopping center at 1224 Wedgewood, will celebrate the opening Sept. 26 with a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will feature entertainment, food trucks and giveaways.

The gym is located in a former EP Fitness location. EP Fitness’ roots are as a Gold’s Gym licensee. But in 2001, EP Fitness owner Scott Kubitz changed the name and became a local fitness-club chain.
