Fitness center for vision-impaired opens.

The Michael A. Romano Fitness Center at Blind & Vision Rehabilitation  Services of Pittsburgh at 1800 West St., Homestead, formally will be reopened  with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 this morning.

The fitness center, which is designed to meet the needs of vision-impaired  people, recently moved to a larger space within the facility and features new  exercise equipment purchased by donations from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield,  the Robert & Mary Weisbrod Foundation and the William B. Mr. Romano is a former chairman of the board of Blind & Vision  Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh and a former senior vice president of  Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
