Crest Fitness Club Gets A Second Chance
Crest Fitness Club Opens In NC
The Crest Fitness Club of Wilmington, NC, founded by fitness guru and Bodybuilder Nick Kentrolis, and his wife Wanda, has opened in Lumina Commons.
After receiving word last April that the owners of “The Galleria” wanted all the tenants to vacate the 28 year old shopping center, Kentrolis didn’t know what he’d do to continue to offer the one-on-one type fitness club experience that his members have grown to love over the last 10 years since he and Wanda have owned and operated The Crest. The Crest has been a local business since the Baker family originally opened it in the old Crest movie theater on Wrightsville Beach in 1984.
“The response from the community has already been astounding, I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to offer the amenities of an extremely high end fitness club with brand new Matrix Fitness circuit training equipment and treadmills.” “As soon as you enter the facility you will feel like you’re in a Florida Coast health club,” said one of our members. “We’ve added 9 new pieces of strength training equipment have new treadmills and expanded our group fitness room.” “We also have the ONLY true floating exercise floor in town that is not built on a concrete slab.” “Our wood flooring has a rubber padding below over a plywood subfloor that’s 8 inches above the concrete,” said Kentrolis.
In the next few weeks we will be re-opening our Phuza Juice & Java smoothie and coffee bar. We will have a complete vitamin and nutrition store. The Crest Fitness Club offers towel and a new membership program that gives. Finally, and most importantly will be the degree of services and direct support offered to each member by its staff of professional personal trainers. We do allow internet or weekend certified personal trainers on our staff.
“We started Crest Fitness Inc. in 2002 to motivate and educate our members to achieve their fitness goals in the best way for each individual’s body, mind, schedule and needs.,” stated Kentrolis, “ we are in the (Fitness) Business, not the (Illusion of Fitness) business. We offer many different types of flexible membership terms based on our members’ individual needs, not one of these one-size-fits-all or any of these new fad routines, a fad is only a FADE without the letter E.” “I have been doing this for almost 30 years now and I am amazed at what people are still trying to sell as fitness.”
