California Family Fitness adding 19th health club.
California Family Fitness is adding a facility in Sacramento’s Pocket community, the company’s fourth new health club this year.
The club at 1349 Florin Road will span 30,000 square feet, according to a news release from the Orangevale-based company.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early July, and Cal Fit expects to open the club by the end of the year.
It will feature state-of-the-art equipment, a cardio theater, massage beds, a smoothie bar and more. With the new location, Cal Fit will have 19 health clubs.
In May, the company opened a new five-story facility at 1012 K St. in downtown Sacramento. The 32,000-square-foot project includes a rooftop area with an outdoor basketball court and lounge with fire pits.
During the same month, Cal Fit bought Riverside Athletic Club and Alhambra Athletic Club from Wenmat Fitness, another local company.
