Anytime Fitness opens doors in…A new business geared towards helping the community get to a “healthier” place has opened its doors in Jackson.

Anytime Fitness, located at 534 East Main Street in Jackson, believes that “happy people are the healthiest people.” The new business, which opened its doors on Wednesday, May 2, provides 24/7 access to fitness to its members.

“Obviously, with us being open to members 24/7, we have the convenience for members to come in when it works for them,” stated Anytime Fitness Area Manager Caitlyn Kennedy. “One schedule isn’t going to work for someone else, so when you are open 24/7 you are able to come in and get your workout in whenever you want.”

Kennedy added, “Everybody is given the same 24 hours in a day; it’s what you do with those hours in the day. We are giving you that option of having a healthier lifestyle in this community, and we are going to give you all of the tools needed for that.”

The business is open 24/7 to members, however, if you don’t have a membership, just stop by the location during staff hours to sign up. The staff hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.

Anytime Fitness Club Director Matt Kline explained that as far as employment goes, the company has a small footprint.

“The big impact that we make in communities is focusing on underserved communities,” stated Kline. “Jackson is an underserved community.”

Kline added, “For us, it’s about taking this level of awareness that our society has gotten to, of understanding that our health is pretty dang important and we need to be proactive in making sure that we are ensuring the longevity of our health and happiness.”

The business features top-of-the-line fitness equipment such as life fitness cardio gear, Hammer Strength fitness equipment, free weight training, and a training area.

Anytime Fitness of Jackson is owned by Jeff Swinford and David Sabo.

“Jackson is an underserved community with a population that can sustain our business model,” stated Sabo. “We thought that we could have a really big impact on the county as a whole.”

Swinford added, “We are a small business and we have really found our ‘niche’ in these small rural markets. We think that instead of going into metro areas and you are trying to have an impact on health and wellness, you just don’t create the same amount of ripples as you would in a smaller market. When we go into these smaller markets our presence is felt and more appreciated because we can bring the amenities of a ‘big-box’ facility. We are committed to our customers and go above and beyond.”
