
Anytime Fitness Armed Robbery at gunpoint … on the Run
1 Arrested, 2 on the Run in Anytime Fitness Armed Robbery.
Monroe Police Department is searching for a man who robbed two victims at gunpoint.
On 6-25-15, at 1:44 a.m., two victims reported that they were robbed at gunpoint by a black male in the parking lot of Anytime Fitness, 1300 Oliver Rd.
The suspect produced a handgun and demanded all of their property, the victims complied and the suspect fled with their cell phones and a set of keys.
The victims then got into their vehicle and attempted to chase the suspect.
The suspect then fired twice in their direction at the intersection of Oliver and Albert.
After shooting the gun, the suspect fled into a wooded area in the 1300 block of Oliver.
Responding officers were able to locate the suspect, identify him as Johnathan Wilson (17 yr old), and arrest him.
Responding officers were also able to recover all the property stolen from the victims.
Investigation revealed that Johnathan Wilson was armed with a Hi Point handgun that he had spray painted pink and green.
Johnathan Wilson was with two other persons that have not been identified yet.
The Hi-point gun has not been located yet either.
Johnathan Wilson was arrested for 2 counts of Armed Robbery and 2 counts of Illegal Use of Dangerous Instrumentalities/Aggravated Assault and booked into OCC.
