Gold’s Gym Relocating! Grand Opening New But Smaller Facility.

Gold’s Gym to celebrate grand opening at Chambersburg Mall April 29Gold’s Gym will officially open in the Chambersburg Mall on April 29.

A grand opening celebration will begin at 5 p.m. at the new location, in the space formerly occupied by Pretzel Plus and Family Fun Center near Burlington Coat Factory. The gym relocated from its former home at Southgate Shopping Center.

Radio station Mix 95.1 will broadcast live during the grand opening event. Gold’s Gym will give away free memberships and personal training packages. There will be drawings for prizes from Chambersburg Mall businesses including Subway, Boost Mobile, Alleghany Optical, Branham’s Candies, Maurices, Vitamin World, Olympia Sports, Victoria’s Secret, and the military recruiting offices. In addition, Finish Line will offer foot alignments and shoe sizing.

The new Gold’s Gym is about 17,000 square feet, which is a bit smaller than the space at Southgate.

The new facility has the same amenities, including a dedicated yoga studio and personal training space. The new facility also features a dedicated cycling room, cardio cinema, Kidz Club, a large group exercise room, free weight area, and plenty of cardio equipment.

Chambersburg Gold’s Gym owner Joe Vasco cited the area’s growth in the north and east in explaining why the gym was moving from Southgate in the west area of Chambersburg. The gym had been at that location since 2008.
