Blast Fitness closes without warning…still getting charged membership fees

Maryland Heights, MO (KSDK) – Customers of a West St. Louis County gym are locked out, but say they are still getting charged membership fees. It’s a gym Five On Your Side has investigated before and members say it’s only getting worse at Blast Fitness.

Throughout the day Monday, Blast customers showed up to workout only to find they were locked out. They say the company gave them no notice of the closing and some say they’ve been told they will still be charged their monthly fees.

The city of Maryland Heights says it has worked with Blast since the beginning of the year to get its facility up to code, but city officials say they did not shut the business down.

On the Blast website it says the closure is temporary, but based on past performance members say they don’t expect to be back any time soon.
