Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers who was killed in a Thursday shootout, reportedly showed up at his former gym and caused a ruckus this month
According to the Boston Globe, Tamerlan had not gone to Allan’s Wai Kru Mixed Martial Arts center in years but showed up within the past month and caused a disturbance.
The owner of the gym said in an email that “Tsarnaev showed up at the gym acting rude and disrespectful, using other people’s equipment, walking on the mats with his shoes.”
“It was a clear indication that something was up,” the owner said. “He was becoming a complete [expletive].”
Tamerlan also reportedly dropped out of college, was unemployed, and was charged with domestic violence in 2009.
“I used to warn Dzhokhar that Tamerlan was up to no good,” Zaur Tsarnaev, a 26-year-old cousin, told the Globe in a phone interview from Russia. “[Tamerlan] was always getting in trouble. He was never happy, never cheering, never smiling. He used to strike his girlfriend… He was not a nice man.”
