The new Quintin St gym, owned by the Garvie Group, features state of the art equipment and members can access the facility 24/7.

Owner Justin Garvie said Snap Fitness offered members flexibility at an affordable price.

“Join with us and you join with Snap Fitness worldwide,” Mr Garvie said.

“So, if you go on holidays you can drop into any of our other gyms and use them.”

The gym features some high tech equipment, including revolving walking stairs and simulated mountain bikes, where you can race your opponent on a computer-generated track.

There’s also TVs that you can watch while you’re working out.

Justin Garvie said people who had never used gym equipment should not be scared off.

“We have an introduction, where we take people through and show them how to use all the equipment,” Mr Garvie said.

“We’ll also start doing some basic aid training programs to help beginners get into it.

“And we offer some personal trainer packs, to give them a taste of that at a cheap rate.”

There are four personal trainers at Snap Fitness.

Staff are at Snap Fitness Monday to Thursday 8.30am-1.30pm and 3pm-6.30pm; on Monday to Thursday 8.30am-1.30pm Friday and 8.30-11.30am on Saturday.
