A jury has convicted a Long Island gym owner of conspiracy to commit murder in the 2003 death of a man who threatened to reveal the gym owner’s involvement in two 1994 killings.

Christian Tarantino was convicted Monday after a three-week trial in U.S. District Court in Central Islip.

The jury acquitted him of aiding and abetting in the 2003 murder.

Tarantino was previously convicted of murder in the 1994 cases. An armored car driver was slain during a holdup. Tarantino later killed an associate involved in the robbery.

He was retried on the 2003 charges after a jury failed to reach a verdict in 2011.

Prosecutors say Vincent Gargiulo, a former associate of Tarantino, was killed to keep him silent about the 1994 killings.

Tarantino faces life in prison.
