Snap Fitness News: Georgia Woman Wins Snap Fitness Franchise

Imagine answering your phone to be told you beat out more than 2,000 entrants to follow your dream. That’s the reality for fourth grade science teacher Charlice Noble-Jones of Albany, Georgia.

She had entered the “Partner With Peter” contest through Chanhassen based Snap Fitness. Noble-Jones won the grand prize to open her own Snap Fitness business. This includes $250,000 for the building, equipment, site selection, initial rent and working capital to get the gym up and running.

With a passion for health and fitness, owning a gym had become a dream for Noble-Jones. She lost her husband to cancer, and says when he was sick she could see how exercise made him feel better both physically and mentally. She tells KSTP.com, “I’ve struggled with my weight, I’m one of those people that’s always going to have to work out.” She hopes this will help her connect with gym goers who share the similar experiences.

She says although starting a small business isn’t easy, winning the gym means financial security for her and her son. She says, “It feels like we are going to be okay.”

Noble-Jones was in Chanhassen last week training to open her new gym. She plans to hold the grand opening in January of 2012.
