Club 24 Fitness…Unexpectedly Closed

Club 24 Fitness, located at Northpointe Plaza in Morgantown, was unexpectedly closed recently.

When gym goers went about their daily routine on Nov. 21, they discovered a notice posted to the front doors.

It stated, “Due to conditions beyond our control, such as multiple competitors moving into a near proximity of the club, creating a financial disaster beyond our imagination, we must close the gym.”

Several club members were upset that they did not have notice of the gym closing and are seeking a MORGANTOWN –

Several club members were upset that they did not have notice of the gym closing and are seeking a refund.

“I wish there would have been more of a warning, more time to prepare, or at least a refund for those that have purchased a membership. It kind of hurts when you pay for a gym membership. Fitness isn’t a cheap thing to be into. You have to eat right, you have to pay for a membership, you have to schedule your times. Evan an e-mail would have been nice. Like, ‘Hey we’re going to have to be closing, sorry about that,’ but just to put a sign up on the door is kind of rude,” said Alexus Workman, former member of the gym.

No refunds have been issued so far to members of the gym.
