Fitness Lady Health Clubs permanently closing.
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) –
After 25 years of serving the Jackson metro area, Fitness Lady Health Club is closing its doors to the public.

It has been sold to Holmes Community College.

Marilyn Kuhn, president of Fitness Lady Health Club, says Fitness Lady will close permanently on November 25, 2015 at 4:00 pm, and will not reopen after its already scheduled Thanksgiving holiday closing hours.

They say refunds will be issued on or before December 15, 2015 to all members who have paid in full for membership or personal training packages.

The Fitness Lady facility, one of the largest ladies health clubs in the nation with over 25,000 square feet of state of the art fitness amenities, will re-open as the student/faculty fitness center for Holmes Community College.

Kuhn went on to say “It saddens me to close Fitness Lady. It has been a blessing to have employed and served thousands of women for over 25 years. Fitness Lady has truly been a special place with special people. After 37 years in the health club business, I am ready to retire and spend more time with my family. I am so appreciative that a quality institution such as Holmes Community College will continue offering a top notch fitness program to the community for many years. It is a great opportunity to help thousands of young people adopt healthy lifestyles.”

Right now the school has not decided if they will sell outside memberships, but if so, they will not be offered until February 2016.
