Youfit Health Club closes abruptly

The Youfit Health Club at 3099 Breckenridge Lane has closed its doors, without acknowledging the reason.

In a release Tuesday, the business said that “despite the club closing, Youfit is grateful for its members’ support and patronage and hopes members will find another health club to continue their fitness journeys.

“Any prepaid dues that were to be used for future services will be refunded to members on a prorated basis within 30 days. Members are being encouraged to contact louisville@youfit.com or 888-639-6971 with any questions or concerns about the closing.”

The last day of operation was Saturday, the release said.

Another local Youfit outlet, at 825 S. Hurstbourne Parkway, also reportedly closed recently.

The Youfit Health Club was founded in 2008 by Rick Berks, “with the philosophy that fitness clubs should be welcoming, not intimidating,” the release said.

Youfit is one of the fastest-growing fitness companies in America with an average of 3–4 clubs opening per month, according to the release.
