Genesis Health Club operator continues massive acquisition spree!

Wichita-based Genesis Health Clubs is continuing its acquisition spree in the Kansas City market, and the latest round includes eight 24 Hour Fitness locations. Financial details were not disclosed.

In May, the health club operator announced that it was buying four corporate-owned Gold’s Gym locations in Kansas City, Lee’s Summit, Olathe and the Liberty area. It also bought Overland Park’s Midtown Athletic Club in March 2015.

The 24-Hour Fitness locations in Gladstone, Olathe, Lee’s Summit, Kansas City, Independence and Shawnee are being rebranded as Genesis Health Clubs and will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation.
