Genesis employee, indicted for health club robbery

“One of the defendants told the employee the robbers did not want trouble and instructed him to wait in an adjacent room,” according to information Beall provided. “The defendant stood in the doorway of the room with his hand in the waistband of his pants. The defendants removed cash and checks from the box and then fled.”

Beall said when police officers, the Genesis employee told them one of the robbers looked like a former Genesis employee. Investigators were able to determine Terrell had previously worked at the club an an overnight maintenance worker.

Terrell and Phelps could serve up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if they are convicted.
