Another locker room ‘encounter’ for Planet Fitness…A woman had her membership revoked at a Florida health club after she complained about a man being in the women’s locker room. She’s gone public with details about the encounter.

The motto at Planet Fitness is “The Judgement Free Zone”

– but its liberal stance is close to landing the business in court after a woman who calls herself “Mrs. H” was kicked off the rolls because she complained that a man was in her locker room. In an interview with OneNewsNow, Mrs. H explained what happened at the Leesburg, Florida, outlet:

Mrs. H: “I walked into the women’s locker room and I saw a young man standing in front of the mirror. I thought at first maybe he got the wrong locker room. I said, ‘You’re a man. What are you doing in here?’ – and he never responded. I said, ‘You don’t belong in here. This is a women’s locker room’ – and he still didn’t respond.”

She explains that she then went to the front desk to tell them that she wasn’t comfortable showering and changing with him in the women’s room. The girl at the desk, she says, told her the man – identified in a demand letter as Jordan “Ivy” Rice – was transgender and she’d just have to wait.

Mrs. H: “So after about an hour, I went back in there. And I said, ‘How long are you going to be?’ He was still in front of the mirror doing makeup. He never changed and he never showered.”

Mrs. H: “By that time, the young girl from the front desk came in and got me, then she told me I had to get out. And I said, ‘Why?’ – and she said, ‘You’re going to cause problems.’ – and I said, ‘Well, I’m not doing anything.'”

But as Mrs. H was starting to leave, the man in the locker room came out. Then the man called the police:

Dispatcher: “9-1-1, do you need police, fire, or ambulance?

Rice: “Police …. We was just sexually harassed.”front of the mirror

Rice: “What’s your name, ma’am? Ma’am, the police need to know your name.”

The man literally chased her through the parking lot, describing to the police what she was wearing and what car she left in. Three days later she got a letter from Planet Fitness canceling her membership. (See related video report from ABC affiliate WFTV)

Mrs. H and her lawyers at Liberty Counsel are demanding her membership be restored and the club change its locker room policies to keep her safe. In a demand letter to company CEO Chris Rondeau, Liberty Counsel argues Planet Fitness “is committing consumer fraud by failing to disclose, and failing to render in writing, policies permitting access of opposite-sex individuals to places where women have a reasonable expectation of privacy.”

It’s the second such case for Planet Fitness, which is also being sued in Michigan for the same reason.front of the mirror
